Talbot was established in 1985 by Brian Talbot. By July 1996, Talbot had grown significantly and was relocated to Miranda. At this stage the business had secure servicing contracts and long term relationships with major clients including Jones Lang La Salle, C.B. Richard Ellis, Chestertons International, Colliers, Knight Frank and the UGL United Group, who were looking after Sydney Airport. In September 2009, Brian retired and the business was sold to Doug Surmon. Shortly after the transition the business was renamed Talbot Automatic Doors and Gates.
Doug relocated the business into larger company owned premise now located in Peakhurst.
The auto door service and maintenance side of the business has continued to grow with the company now supporting many strata managers and an increasing number of facility management companies; looking after all brands and types of automatic doors and gates.
In 2011, we introduced our own brand of automatic sliding and swing doors that have proved to be extremely reliable and robust. These systems have been used extensively in cost effective retrofits of other failed systems.
In 2012, we introduced our unique trackless bifold gates. This, combined with our telescopic sliding gates have become extremely popular for constricted residential properties around Sydney.
In 2013, we started manufacturing aluminium doors and frames in house, complimenting our installation services.
The company is now taking on large-scale projects with confidence. We take pride in providing quality service without compromising aesthetics. We provide you with options, and are there through the whole process, from installing and manufacturing entire shop front structures right down to the glazing.
